Are you a parent or guardian interested in signing up to receive a box?We understand that the added costs of a birthday celebration can be difficult especially if you have multiple children. Birthday in a Box MHK is a nonprofit organization that helps provide the essential supplies to help you be able to give your child a birthday celebration. Each Box will include: a coupon for a free cake from HyVee (or a cake mix, frosting and a 9x13 disposable pan, you will get to choose), birthday candles, plates, napkins, cups, and other party/decoration items (depending on availability) such as noise makers, balloons, and streamers. You will also receive a $20 Gift Card to Walmart or Target so you can also provide your child a small gift.
The Birthday Boxes will be delivered to your child's school close to their birthday. The social worker will then give the box to your child to bring home. The social worker will instruct the child not to open the box, that way the party will be from you! If you would like to sign your child up to receive a Birthday in a Box, please ask your school social worker for an enrollment form. All you need to do is fill out the form and return it to them. We will do the rest. |
